  • Canada Day festivities are not too far away. First, you can attend MP Scot Davidson’s Pancake Breakfast at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex from 8:30 to 11:00 am on July 1. Then head out to the ROC for the Georgina festivities which get underway at 2:00 pm for some all day long fun with fire works in the evening.

  • On Sunday, July 7, Evensong at 3:00 pm at St. George’s Church will celebrate 40 years of summer chaplaincy. Many past summer chaplains have been invited.
  • The Georgina Brock Garden Club is hosting “Cannabis from a Horticultural Perspective” on Mon. July 8 at 7:30 at Wilfrid Community Hall. To be presented by Alex Waite of Beaver River Organics. Also a flower, vegetable and design show.
  • The 18th Purple Turtle Art Festival will be held on July 13 and 14 at the Briars in Jackson’s Point. More than 35 local and out-of-town artisans featuring creative and original  work.
